Mothers Day in the UK
Today was Mothering Sunday here in the UK. The kids are now at an age where things like this make it onto their radar without Dad having to remind them.
So, yesterday C and I made a lovely brooche for Mummy. Putting together what we learned on a BBC video and cutting up my oldest (and fondest) pair of Levi's, we fashioned a flower for her to wear.
Today, Bella and I awoke to C and D perched on the kitchen counter mixing oatmeal, milk, yoghurt and honey into a breakfast cereal. They were determined to feed Bella breakfast in bed!
After church, we spontaneously stopped by Salt & Pepper. That turned into a magnificent feast, with me running home to get a bottle of wine to accompany it. Steph and Colin and Gwennie joined us, again spontaneously, which led to an hour or so in Coronation Park. Steph is American, so we brought all of our American activities- Frisbee, whiffle ball and bat, etc...
All in all, it turned into a fantastic day for Mummy. Video to follow.
