We all ventured to Northumbria after Christmas- Bella and I by car and Grandparents/kids by train. The cathedrals of York and Durham were impressive. The weather, less so. And we found
a great little Italian/Lebanese restaurant in Durham for lunch one day. And the
Bemish Outdoor Museum was worth the slog in the bad weather.
I have to say all the people we ran across up there were very friendly.
Here's a few pictures of the sights.
