Korpi Time!
We ventured into Chicago to see my niece Aleah Korpi. She and D share the Finnish gene. They hosted us to watch the fireworks off their balcony.
Beach Glam
We arrived on the shores of Lake Michigan and hour ago. Straight down to the beach for a swim.
Falmouth and Gilly Beach
I journeyed the 5 hours down to Falmouth last week to get C. I never leave Cornwall without a morning dip in the ocean. Always a refreshing way to start the day.
Down to St Martha's on the hill
Both kids were around yesterday, so we took a trip to outside Guilford to visit Michael's family plot. Then off to the Onslow Arms for a great pub dinner.
Last day of Seaford School
Picked up D from her boarding house on Friday, for the last time. Out into the big world.

Super proud of D. Finishing up secondary school. And now on to Australia for a year abroad!
Essex Point to Point Race
Out at Adrian and Linseys place for the horse racing weekend. Won a bit of money and met some friends and drank some Guinness.
A quick nip into the RAC
The girls were off to see Paddington The Musical on Friday night. So they stopped by the RAC for a quick bite to eat beforehand.
Mousehole, Cornwall
The four of us ventured down the coast from Falmouth to a town my parents visited a few years back- pronounced Mouzel. Windy, but sunny, and a pub lunch in The Ship Inn.
The Three Horseshoes Pub
Up in the South Downs Hills. A lovely lunch next to the fireplace, playing games.
La Piscine Museum
What a lovely find! We took a 15 minute tube ride from Lille out to Roubaix. It's an old, large public swimming pool from the 1930s, turned into a V&A type sculpture and textile museum.
