Lunch in Peaselake

Image
Last weekend, we drove out to an area around Guildford (see here , here and here for previous trips).  Bella used to work at COI with Neil who now lives in Peaselake.  So we joined him and his wife Sarah for Sunday lunch.  And a lovely walk up Hurtwood Hill . Here we are at the top- a great view. And then a stop at our favourite farm shop for provisions on the way back to London.

D's Literary Achievements

D emerged from school today with a Head Teachers certificate. This is for her "great effort in literacy". Which I think means she tries to write good stories and ususlly does. It's signed by Mr Hogsten, the school principal.

A Godfather comes to town...

Instead of the kids' godparents getting all the attention, we thought it about time to get some others up here.  My Godfather, David Gregory and his wife Kay, came to London last week.  They were gracious enough to brave the Tube, and joined us all for dinner one night. And then read to the kids at bedtime. I experimented with the delay timer on the camera (but didn't think to move the glasses out the way).
