We celebrated Mom's birthday with a big lunch at the RAC.  Its becoming a tradition to be there a few days before Xmas, but for her birthday.

Totem, a bar down the beach, has swings for seats. We stopped for a coke on the way back from a hike up the bluffs.

A Galician Food Experience

We walked three miles along the beach and through the woods to reach this place.   Once there, we devoured barnacles, goat, fish, steak and razor clams. Washed down with coke, beer and regional white wine. And then grandma's chocolate cake, cheese and honey and coffees for the walk back.

We journeyed down to West Sussex today to tour Seaford College (actually for the last 2 year of high school, not university).  It's a co-ed boarding school, out in the country- lots of dance and sport.

We had a few families over to watch the Coronation today.  Lots of food and lots of TV.  And even a bit of American football in the park. Best line of the day: Steph commented how nice it was that the Red Arrow jets honored the US with red, white and blue smoke...

We spent the afternoon with Adrian and Linsey, just down the road from their house. In a field, watching the horses run.

The North of Lanzarote

While Christian surfed with a friend- on the beach in the background: Famara- D, B and I toured the area. We're at the highest point, and it was quite windy and steep. After, we took ourselves to Cesar Marique's house- a famous architect and artist.  Then a lovely fish lunch and beech.
