Park, Park, Park & Park

... on our way to The Spaniard pub on the far side.  A rainy, slippery, 2 mile walk, in the wind, but a lunch that was worth it.  A, B, C, D, N, GD.

We celebrated Mom's birthday with a big lunch at the RAC.  Its becoming a tradition to be there a few days before Xmas, but for her birthday.

At the RAC for their Christmas Carol singalong, with Ed and Georgina.  And then to dinner in the Long Bar.

And the girls went ice skating at Somerset House in London.

All over for dinner last night

Up at Wembley for the big women's match.

The girls danced for the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Southside today.  Here they they are just off the stage.

Dinner out at one of his favourites- Brunswick House.

We toured Bath Spa University on Saturday, and then spent the afternoon with Nettie, Neil, Ruth and their kids.

This is the bar in Kensington where we wrote our wedding vows, over rose.  We found ourselves back there today.

2 more years until university.  Age 15.

They stopped by the office after rummaging through vintage clothes in the East End of London.

We're in town with Inigi and Idoia, seeing bands, cannons, churches, etc- All Basque.

To the beach, through the streets of Getaria, down the coast from San Sebastian.

Off to the Basque Region the next day.

Totem, a bar down the beach, has swings for seats. We stopped for a coke on the way back from a hike up the bluffs.

A day of surfing on their own.

We walked three miles along the beach and through the woods to reach this place.   Once there, we devoured barnacles, goat, fish, steak and razor clams. Washed down with coke, beer and regional white wine. And then grandma's chocolate cake, cheese and honey and coffees for the walk back.

After a day of surfing, but before we go out for tapas... Jack and Flo joining us for the week.

Of the Scotish hills.  We decended from here down to Tuggy's pub for a well earned pint.

This is just before a 3 hour hike that took us up a hill and down a mountain.

D had the opportunity to dance with her troupe in front of Tower Bridge.  The filming is for the filler sections of Britain's Got Talent on TV.

Off to MommaMia in London

C and I went to an Afghanistan discussion at Chatham House this eve.  And then ventured across the street to the RAC for sandwiches on the patio.

We journeyed down to West Sussex today to tour Seaford College (actually for the last 2 year of high school, not university).  It's a co-ed boarding school, out in the country- lots of dance and sport.

We had a few families over to watch the Coronation today.  Lots of food and lots of TV.  And even a bit of American football in the park. Best line of the day: Steph commented how nice it was that the Red Arrow jets honored the US with red, white and blue smoke...

We spent the afternoon with Adrian and Linsey, just down the road from their house. In a field, watching the horses run.

At Marble Arch together, shopping.

While Christian surfed with a friend- on the beach in the background: Famara- D, B and I toured the area. We're at the highest point, and it was quite windy and steep. After, we took ourselves to Cesar Marique's house- a famous architect and artist.  Then a lovely fish lunch and beech.

Paul the Scotsman took us to the waves and got us just about standing.

D is heading to Seville, on a school trip, at 7am...

For the weekend, to see Bella's parents and brother, with Flo.

His annual skiing trip with friends from school.  He's on the snowboard.
