Our boy hasn't quite graduated on to real cereals yet, but here he is just after his first teaspoon of baby rice. He got the idea after a while and managed to get some of it down his throat. He was even heard to smack his lips!
We walked three miles along the beach and through the woods to reach this place. Once there, we devoured barnacles, goat, fish, steak and razor clams. Washed down with coke, beer and regional white wine. And then grandma's chocolate cake, cheese and honey and coffees for the walk back.
Dorothy Wijnanda Park has finally arrived. A healthy, petite (6lb, 7 oz) baby was born at 1:18 pm today, 28th of June. Baby and mother are both recovering from the delivery at Kingston Hospital in fine form. The first Park female on this branch of the family in 5 generations gets her name from my grandmother (Dorothy M. Baetcke Park) and a relative on Bella's side (Isabella Dorothea Akers). And also inherits Bella's middle name. Any advice on coping with daughters is heartily welcomed by the father.
