Sunday Baptism


C took to the water perfectly.

The Christening went without a hitch, no crying, no fussing. He now has official Godparents who are Lutheran, Anglican and Dutch Reformist (and was baptized in an Episcopal church).

C acted as the parcel in a game of "pass the parcel" at the party afterwards, and handled that diplomatically after his nap.

She arrives!

Dorothy Wijnanda Park has finally arrived. A healthy, petite (6lb, 7 oz) baby was born at 1:18 pm today, 28th of June. Baby and mother are both recovering from the delivery at Kingston Hospital in fine form. The first Park female on this branch of the family in 5 generations gets her name from my grandmother (Dorothy M. Baetcke Park) and a relative on Bella's side (Isabella Dorothea Akers). And also inherits Bella's middle name. Any advice on coping with daughters is heartily welcomed by the father.

D's 8th Birthday

Here she is before school, ready with her birthday badge. We all went out for a celebratory dinner- Indian food.  And we git the entire resturant to sing Happy Birthday to her.
