A submarine and a tractor!


Posting was a bit light due to our travels to the US. Now that we're all settled in here, I'll get back to a regular schedule.

We took C and D to the Museum of Science and Industry- a childhood favorite here in Chicago. This is C and Grand-dad in front of the U-505, a full submarine from WWII. We had an excellent tour, in a huge hall ( the picture doesn't do the room or the people justice).

(Nate- it was pretty cool- much better than 20 years ago)

And here is C standing inside a farm tractor tire- another big hit for him.

She arrives!

Dorothy Wijnanda Park has finally arrived. A healthy, petite (6lb, 7 oz) baby was born at 1:18 pm today, 28th of June. Baby and mother are both recovering from the delivery at Kingston Hospital in fine form. The first Park female on this branch of the family in 5 generations gets her name from my grandmother (Dorothy M. Baetcke Park) and a relative on Bella's side (Isabella Dorothea Akers). And also inherits Bella's middle name. Any advice on coping with daughters is heartily welcomed by the father.
