We ventured down to deepest East Sussex last weekend for lunch with John and Sheila Van Maurik- relatives from Bells' side. After a lovely meal, we all put our wellies on and tromped through the light rain to Pooh Bridge. A. A. Milne, the author of Winnie the Pooh, used to live in nearby Hartfield.
