Berties' Christening

Image
We attended the christening of Ed and Louisa' son Robert Ernest Owen Davies, aka Bertie, today. Unfortunately, no good pictures of the most honorable B, nor of any of the family in attendance- mostly due to operator error. One fuzzy one of the kids in their Sunday best though.

An update to the series: Here is some of the others . And here is an early one of D.

Current Update and the 700th Post!

I've been a bit lax since our return to the UK from Christmas with my parents in Chicago. Work, health and kids(!) get in the way sometimes. I thought just a written update would suffice, and then I noticed it would be post number 700. That's a lot of updates over the years. So, here's almost the first . D is getting VERY independent- she'll dress herself, ...

Mathilda and Uncle Adrian Come to Visit

Image
Bells' brother Adrian visited on Saturday with Mathilda, better known as Tilly. We spent the afternoon eating, playing and then making our way to the park. With a fair bit of Spanish spoken throughout.

The Boxing Day Party

Image
Mom and Dad threw a Boxing Day drinks party for a really good collection of people- their friends, my old friends, and Uncle Nate's old friends. There were lots of little kids for C and D to mill around with under foot. Here we are dressed and ready.

The Snow in Chicago

Image
Ah, back to the UK now and over the jet-lag and assorted viruses. So normal posting to begin again. While we were in The States, C and D got to frolic in the white stuff. C really enjoyed the snow, hence the sledding. D- a bit less so. Here's a few shots- Uncle Nate and D out in front of the Hinsdale house, and C helping to shovel the drive way.
