A Sunny Weekend in April with D


We had really good weather this past weekend- sunny and shorts/tee-shirts type weather. So good that we took the kids to a beach in Farnham (!) and then to Wimbledon Park on Sunday. Ice cream afterwards.

Bells is here giving D her freedom to tightrope walk along the sandpit edge at WP.

We walked three miles along the beach and through the woods to reach this place.   Once there, we devoured barnacles, goat, fish, steak and razor clams. Washed down with coke, beer and regional white wine. And then grandma's chocolate cake, cheese and honey and coffees for the walk back.

She arrives!

Dorothy Wijnanda Park has finally arrived. A healthy, petite (6lb, 7 oz) baby was born at 1:18 pm today, 28th of June. Baby and mother are both recovering from the delivery at Kingston Hospital in fine form. The first Park female on this branch of the family in 5 generations gets her name from my grandmother (Dorothy M. Baetcke Park) and a relative on Bella's side (Isabella Dorothea Akers). And also inherits Bella's middle name. Any advice on coping with daughters is heartily welcomed by the father.
