D and Sunny

D brought home Sunny the Bear from school on Friday.  The idea- the same as Thomasina with C- is that D shows Sunny around, does some fun stuff and then reports back.

D did indeed have a great time with Sunny and pictures were taken and compiled for school.

We walked three miles along the beach and through the woods to reach this place.   Once there, we devoured barnacles, goat, fish, steak and razor clams. Washed down with coke, beer and regional white wine. And then grandma's chocolate cake, cheese and honey and coffees for the walk back.

She arrives!

Dorothy Wijnanda Park has finally arrived. A healthy, petite (6lb, 7 oz) baby was born at 1:18 pm today, 28th of June. Baby and mother are both recovering from the delivery at Kingston Hospital in fine form. The first Park female on this branch of the family in 5 generations gets her name from my grandmother (Dorothy M. Baetcke Park) and a relative on Bella's side (Isabella Dorothea Akers). And also inherits Bella's middle name. Any advice on coping with daughters is heartily welcomed by the father.

D's 8th Birthday

Here she is before school, ready with her birthday badge. We all went out for a celebratory dinner- Indian food.  And we git the entire resturant to sing Happy Birthday to her.
