Dorothy's head wetting



We all gathered at my old local on Saturday to wet Dorothy's head- a British tradition of the new father and his mates getting together to celebrate the birth with a few pints.

The Atlas has seen other visits from us over the years, including my stag night before the wedding.

C's head wetting was at Troubs here with some of the same mis-fits.

She arrives!

Dorothy Wijnanda Park has finally arrived. A healthy, petite (6lb, 7 oz) baby was born at 1:18 pm today, 28th of June. Baby and mother are both recovering from the delivery at Kingston Hospital in fine form. The first Park female on this branch of the family in 5 generations gets her name from my grandmother (Dorothy M. Baetcke Park) and a relative on Bella's side (Isabella Dorothea Akers). And also inherits Bella's middle name. Any advice on coping with daughters is heartily welcomed by the father.

D's 8th Birthday

Here she is before school, ready with her birthday badge. We all went out for a celebratory dinner- Indian food.  And we git the entire resturant to sing Happy Birthday to her.
