Lisa and the Kids for Lunch


Lisa, Bella's close friend from boarding school, came for lunch today, along with her 3 kids. We enjoy getting together with them periodically- here's last time. C first met Lisa and Nigel when he was just two months old- here.

Emily, Jacob and Sam (and C and D) all ate enough main course to have some home made pavlova- meringues, cream and fruit. Then off to the park for some English football and American whiffleball.

She arrives!

Dorothy Wijnanda Park has finally arrived. A healthy, petite (6lb, 7 oz) baby was born at 1:18 pm today, 28th of June. Baby and mother are both recovering from the delivery at Kingston Hospital in fine form. The first Park female on this branch of the family in 5 generations gets her name from my grandmother (Dorothy M. Baetcke Park) and a relative on Bella's side (Isabella Dorothea Akers). And also inherits Bella's middle name. Any advice on coping with daughters is heartily welcomed by the father.

D's 8th Birthday

Here she is before school, ready with her birthday badge. We all went out for a celebratory dinner- Indian food.  And we git the entire resturant to sing Happy Birthday to her.
