Too cool for school

Sheringdale Primary School had their annual summer fair this past weekend.  I really enjoy these kinds of things because of the fond memories I have of my Walker/Prospect School days- talent shows, cake sales and lots of kids running around.

One of the fund-raising activities was tatoos for the kids.  Here are both of them- too cool for the camera already among their friends.

She arrives!

Dorothy Wijnanda Park has finally arrived. A healthy, petite (6lb, 7 oz) baby was born at 1:18 pm today, 28th of June. Baby and mother are both recovering from the delivery at Kingston Hospital in fine form. The first Park female on this branch of the family in 5 generations gets her name from my grandmother (Dorothy M. Baetcke Park) and a relative on Bella's side (Isabella Dorothea Akers). And also inherits Bella's middle name. Any advice on coping with daughters is heartily welcomed by the father.

D's 8th Birthday

Here she is before school, ready with her birthday badge. We all went out for a celebratory dinner- Indian food.  And we git the entire resturant to sing Happy Birthday to her.
