Better Baseball


Uncle Adrian spent some time over the weekend teaching C the finer points of Cricket. Adrian is a keen cricketer, and his skill helped him learn to hit a baseball pretty easily while he was in Canada.

This puts C in a good position to learn both National Sports.

Although I'm thrilled to see him with bat in hand, I sure hope you don't mean cricket is better [than] baseball. Too bad the poor kid's only been to a Cub game. I guess I'll have to step in as godfather and do the right thing for C. When should we expect to see him on the South side wearing black?

She arrives!

Dorothy Wijnanda Park has finally arrived. A healthy, petite (6lb, 7 oz) baby was born at 1:18 pm today, 28th of June. Baby and mother are both recovering from the delivery at Kingston Hospital in fine form. The first Park female on this branch of the family in 5 generations gets her name from my grandmother (Dorothy M. Baetcke Park) and a relative on Bella's side (Isabella Dorothea Akers). And also inherits Bella's middle name. Any advice on coping with daughters is heartily welcomed by the father.
