Horsey horsey


A little out of date, this, but two days after we moved in, we took a day off from unpacking and went to Goodwood (the races) with Christian's godfather Andy and his girlfriend Sophie. Here are A and C decked out in their finery. The racecourse had a creche so we left C for a few hours - a good lesson in independence for us as well as him.

Horses are featuring quite a lot in C's life lately. Katrina has lent him a 'horse' walking trolley which he pushes back and forth on the ground floor of his new house.

She arrives!

Dorothy Wijnanda Park has finally arrived. A healthy, petite (6lb, 7 oz) baby was born at 1:18 pm today, 28th of June. Baby and mother are both recovering from the delivery at Kingston Hospital in fine form. The first Park female on this branch of the family in 5 generations gets her name from my grandmother (Dorothy M. Baetcke Park) and a relative on Bella's side (Isabella Dorothea Akers). And also inherits Bella's middle name. Any advice on coping with daughters is heartily welcomed by the father.

D's 8th Birthday

Here she is before school, ready with her birthday badge. We all went out for a celebratory dinner- Indian food.  And we git the entire resturant to sing Happy Birthday to her.
