New Home


C is happily ensconced in his new home now.

He's got his own room, plenty of crawl space, and a school right across the street. The neighbors seem friendly also.

A few final touches still needed, like internet access (at the local Starbucks now). That should be sorted later this week, so normal posting will resume then.

She arrives!

Dorothy Wijnanda Park has finally arrived. A healthy, petite (6lb, 7 oz) baby was born at 1:18 pm today, 28th of June. Baby and mother are both recovering from the delivery at Kingston Hospital in fine form. The first Park female on this branch of the family in 5 generations gets her name from my grandmother (Dorothy M. Baetcke Park) and a relative on Bella's side (Isabella Dorothea Akers). And also inherits Bella's middle name. Any advice on coping with daughters is heartily welcomed by the father.

D's 8th Birthday

Here she is before school, ready with her birthday badge. We all went out for a celebratory dinner- Indian food.  And we git the entire resturant to sing Happy Birthday to her.
